What is Robocop?
Robocop is a sci-fi action film made in 1987 by Orion Pictures. It created a trilogy of movies and a 2014 remake of the original.
Plot Summary
Robocop follows Alex Murphey a police officer who is murdered by a gang of criminals. He is then turned into a half-human half-machine by the corrupt corporation Omni Consumer Products with the three directives of
- Serve the Public Trust
- Protect the Innocent
- Uphold the Law
- A Secret Fourth
Alex Murphey, now Robocop fights both crime and corruption in an action-filled hour and a half which makes it easy to see why this movie started an entire series.
Much of the site centers around a few short clips of a news station. Through these news broadcasts, Robocop introduces much of the world and creates a backdrop for the movie
